Once a woman lived with her two daughters. The woman loved her own daughter Hania but she disliked her step daughter, Mehwish because Mehwish was prettier than Hania. The stepmother compelled Mehwish to do all the household work. Hania did not help Mehwish rather she liked to adorn herself. One day, Hania ordered Mehwish Bring strawberries for me. Mehwish said in a trembling voice. Snow is falling outside. Thick layer of snow had covered everything Strawberries are not available in this time of the years. Stepmother and Hania did not take pity on Mehwish. They drove him out of the house. Mehwish started to cry bitterly and reached the forest. She saw twelve men sitting near bonfire. The twelve men were twelve months. Great January had a club in his hand He asked Mehwish What are you doing here? Mehwish told him that her stepmother and sister ordered her to fetch strawberries and she will be severly punished if she return empty handed. Great january gave his club to June who swung it over the fire. The flame burned brightly and melted the snow. New leaves and summer arrived. Mehwish spotted fresh and juicy strawberries. She filled her basket with strawberries. Then she thanked the twelve moths and returned home happily.
Her stepmother and Hania ordered Mehwish to fetch apples. Mehwish reached the place of bonfire again. She narrated her problem to twelve months. Great January gave the club to September. As soon as September swung the club. the snow melted quickly and autumn came. Mehwish plucked two apples from the tree laden with red apples She again thanked the twelve months and brought the apples home. Hania asked Mehwish Where did you find the apples Mehwish told her that there were plenty of apples in the forest Hania rebutted Mehwish for picking only two apples Stepmother and Hania liked the apples continously and they were suger to eat more apples Hania put on her warm coat and went to collect the apples she met the twelve months and behaved rudely with great January Great January angrily swung the club. The sky grew dark and snow started falling. Hania could not find her way back to home. She was burried under heavy she too did not return. Hania and stepmother died due to severe cold. After some time Mehwish married a kind man and they started to live happily in that house.
