Florence Nightingale is called the lady with the lamp in 1851 she became the founder of mordern nursing. she was born in the town of Florence in Italy in 1820. She hardly seventeen years old when she felt that she must do something humaity. She also founded an institution for training of nurses in london. what does islam think about nursing Islam lays emphasis on helping the sick and the needy. So nursing is important in Islam. Our Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.) advised Muslims to visit the sick and help people suffering from disease.
