A Great Saint of Sindh

Abdulah Shah Ghazi (R.A.)

Karachi has a special place among all the cities of Paksitan due to many reasons, trade, industry, education and recreation. The city offers recreation to its people on its beaches in many ways. standing high near the clifton beach is the shrine of saint Abdullah shah Gazi.  The vicinity of the  shrine is covered with small  and big colourful shops, selling food items, flowers and mementos. The area is full of noise and commotion, but it sounds good to your ears. There is a big line of Langar shops which sell Biryani Haleem and Korma. People buy these Deghs in the name of Abdullah Shah Ghazi and distribute them among the poor and hungry.

If you happen to visit the shrine on the weeked, you can see hundreds of people men women and chil dren climbing up the stairs to the shrine People not only offer fateha but also pray for the fulfillment of their wishes. May Allah shower his blessings on the soul of Abdullah Shah Gazi Ameen.
Saint Abdullah Shah Ghazi is a descendant of Hazrat Ali the fourth caliph of Islam. He came to Sindh with twenty followers in 139 Hijri As a result of his preachings, thousands of people embraced Islam. He died a martyr and was buried on top of a small hill where the shrine stands even today.
You can the beautiful green shrine from a distance. To a lot of people it appears as if the saint himself dressed in green in guarding the Mahran sea. The Shrine offers peace, comfort and solace to the suffering humanity.
